SIOGEN Biotech, a world leader in the production of silane-based inert nanoparticles, has developed Siosomes^® as flexible vesicles for the targeted delivery of drugs, compounds and other substances. Siosomes^® are nanoparticle vesicles consisting of two or more concentric, organo-silicon layers based on the Silane (SiH4) general structure. These can be manufactured in precise as well as different sizes, dependent on use and requirement, with a 10% distribution, ranging from 40nm – 1500nm in size.

Set up in 2003 by Dr Zoser Salama, Dr Shermal Perera and Prof. Andy Porter, SIOGEN Biotech has demonstrated steady growth through its business strategy - partnering companies that have problem compounds which the Siosomes^® delivery technology can improve by addressing toxicity, extending half-life, solubility, improving targeting and/or providing new routes of administration.

SIOGEN Biotech welcomes enquiries from potential partners that have problem compounds, who may be looking to refine early stage development compounds, rework later stage compounds, or looking at reformulation of marketed compounds. Siosomes^® have applications in pharmaceuticals, cosmoceuticals, herbaceuticals and herbal medicine administration.
